Special Notice to Securities Brokers and Other Nominees

By Order of the Court, if you purchased Fannie Mae common stock (cusip 313586109) between January 14, 1999 and December 22, 2004, or Class N preferred stock (cusip 313586828) between September 25, 2003 and December 22, 2004, for the beneficial interest of another person or entity, you must, within 10 days of notification, either:

1. provide the Distribution Agent with the beneficial owners’ names and addresses, or
2. mail Claims Packets to such beneficial owners.

If you choose to provide the Distribution Agent with names and addresses, you can do so by emailing an electronic file to mail@SECFannieMaeSettlement.com. Please use the Excel eFile Template worksheet below.
